I’m very saddened to learn of Peter’s passing. He was my lecturer in ~2014 - 2016, an absolute gentleman and great craic.

It was a pleasure to have known him over many years & enjoyed his great sense of humour. He was a real gentleman who treated people with respect & kindness.
We had a shared interest in basketball & remember him as an honorary member and supporter of, our Athlone Mens' Gateaux Vintage Team in the 90s.
We were deeply saddened to hear of Peter's death & we hope ye find solace in your many happy memories of him during these sad & difficult days. May Peter Rest in Peace forever, now reunited with his Mam & Dad.

I really valued Peter's friendship and his advice. He was a great colleague as both a Head of Department and lecturer. Many of his colleagues used to ask him to talk some sense into me and he usually did. Most of all, Peter was the most student-centred Head of Department that I have ever met. He never lost sight of what we all work in the college and so many students got to graduate because of being helped by him. To the students, he was a giant.
