Peter Mernagh

Just heard the news. First met Peter in May 1989 in Harold Wood as Student Nurses. We spent many ward placements together and I always remember his wicked sense of humour, kindness and generosity.

Haven’t seen him since I left for London in 76 but never forgot his brilliant point in the Connacht final under 15 to win the cup for us

I didn't know Peter but I am not surprised that he was such a wonderful and caring nurse after working in Oldchurch Hospital, Romford where there were so many opportunities for nurses to further their careers in areas such as education, promotion and clinical experience. I worked there in the 1970s. Rest in Peace Peter.
