Sincere sympathy to the Merne family. Peter and myself were in the same class in The Brothers and were part of a pilot scheme in the late 1960s for Junior Traffic Wardens, something he always reminded me of whenever our paths crossed. On such occasions I always found Peter to be very engaging on a wide range of subjects, but he always had a special interest in the arts and music. May he rest in peace.
