Deepest condolences to Roisin and the extended O'Kelly Family on the tragic, sudden death of Peter. A lovely gentleman with a dry funny sense of humor and a great community worker. His Scouting work is legendary. Peter was part of the first Scout & Guide Troup who welcomed the Jerusalem Peace Light to St. Annes Church, Portmarnock. Peter had a lovely voice. I remember he led a Folk Group in St. Annes, 'back in the day'

On behalf of all your friends in 120th Portmarnock scout group, we are shocked and heartbroken with the all too sudden and premature passing of Peter. He has left a legacy of scouting in our community that we feel obliged to carry on in his honour. Through his leadership we have a state of the art den but more importantly than any building he left us with his values of honesty, integrity and resilience.
