Pete was a wonderful fun calm supportive manager who became a friend over many years. I admired him in many ways but especially in facing his illness in the most brave fashion. His love for his wife and family was central to everything about him. Thank you Pete for your friendship which I will always treasure. Rest well now and continue as always to look after your beloved from your new space.

As a student and newly qualified nurse, I always admired Pete’s leadership as a manager and mentor, and his straight-talking, witty sense of humour. I always felt in safe hands when I was on duty with him. I hope that as I continue on in my career, that I will be even half the nurse Pete was. He will be very sadly missed, thinking of his family during this difficult time.
