Deepest condolence to Mary & family.
We were so sorry to hear about Peters passing. He was such a good and memorable neighbour from the very first day we moved in. His odd little ways brought a smile & sometimes a 🙀 to our faces—especially the near nightly whistling of the French anthem that we’ll never forget!
It was truly a pleasure having Peter next door.
R.I.P. Peter.
To Mary and family, so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother Peter. May he rest in peace.
Dear Peter,
You were the great philosopher of the Nugent, Whitebarn and Oakdown area of Churchtown. You recognised, and were concerned by, the contradiction between advances in education and in the sciences, and our failure to make corresponding progress in how we managed our planet and related to each other.

In our many encounters, over the years, we struggled with this dichotomy, and I suggested that human behaviour was governed by both emotion and logic, the former sometimes impervious to the pull of the latter, which the predominantly logical side of your thinking style challenged.

I pray that your active and enquiring mind is now at peace, and that the answers to your many questions are now crystal clear. No doubt the margins of the celestial grass verges are as uniform and neat, as you kindly kept those of Oakdown Road. Sleep well, big fellow.
Sorry to hear of Peter's passing, John. Condolences to the extended Sheridan family. RIP.
