To Lorna and all of your beautiful family. We are devastated at at the loss of Peter. He was an absolute gentleman, incredible engineer, fountain of maritime knowledge, biker, mentor and most importantly a true friend. I will forever be guided by him and I know when I make a decision he will be watching me and probably criticising . . . .. but I am used to it by now. I cannot count the number of people that have consoled me on the loss of Peter, from engineers up here in Kilkeel, to guys in Grimsby, Middlesborough, Fraserburgh, Aberdeen, Peterhead, Macduff, Howth, Cloggerhead, Castletown, Dunmore East, Edinburgh, Poole and Isle of Wight. He was massively respected every where he went.
For the last 6 years I had the privalige of working closely with him, and prior to that I had known him 15 odd years, always with huge respect. So family, don't worry, Peter's up there, prob with his sis, she's maybe on the back of his gs that he loved so much, cruising. Chill out time Peter. We will never forget you dude. My condolences to Lorna and family. Peter was a great guy and I had the pleasure of working and travelling with Peter on many occasions as part of my work with the Marine Survey Office. He was knowledgeable, professional, sensible, pragmatic and decent and most of all great company. He will be a huge loss to the maritime industry within Ireland. May he rest in peace.
