Peter STANTON

There were two Stanton/Staunton families - the same father but different mothers. I was part of the first family and Peter the second family. Most of the second family was born after I left for England/America. Mary and Peter - I remember as babies and I babysat them many times. I met all the family at our fathers funeral and in many visits thereafter and I enjoyed their company. Peter was a very joyful brother and very knowledgeable in many areas other than music. I was very shocked at Peter's passing in February and again shocked by the passing of our brother Jack at the end of February. May they both meet in hesven. My deepest sympathy for the loss of my brother Peter may he rest in peace.

To all the Stanton family, I was so sad to hear about Peter’s passing. I was a past keyboard and piano pupil of Peter’s for over 10 years. Peter was a fantastic teacher with the patience of a saint. I will not forget his nuggets of wisdom and treating us when we were performing well to an ice-pop on a hot Saturday morning during our lesson. Peter will forever be remembered.

I am so very sad to hear of Peter’s passing. For the past 12 years he has been teaching my children Daire & Emily to play music. They loved going down to see him and his sweet jar. He was a gentleman and was so kind , patient and helpful in every way. I will miss talking about the Dubs with him too. He will be greatly missed by all.
