No words can adequately express our sense of shock and tremendous loss to your family and our aviation community. Peter was such a skilled, thorough and careful pilot it is difficult to comprehend how this tragedy has happened. We will fondly remember Peter's infectious good humour and along with Kay, the warm welcome we have always received at the ILAS field. Your enormous sense of loss and grief is shared by a much wider community of people who will remember Peter with great admiration and fondness.
Sincere sympathy to PETERS wife Kay
arising from the recent tragic accident,
and to the wider family and friends.
To the best of my recollection I met
with Peter during his time at Waterford

RIP.
I was saddened to hear of Peters passing in an accident. He was a good man, an able instructor and an enthusiast for flying. He taught us flight theory as well. Such a committed professional, without vice, never angry, a great teacher.
Peter in his work as an instructor pilot found great joy in sharing the experience of flight with others, members of the aviation community will have fond memories of a friend who lived well, soared high but passed too soon.
Such a tragic loss! terribly nice man, always in good humour and will be sorely missed by his many friends in aviation. RIP.
Was shocked and saddened at hearing of Peter's passing. My deepest condolences to Kay and Peter's Family, friends and those in his flying circle who knew him.

May he rest in peace.
My sincere condolence to Kay, the Tawse & Furlong family’s on your sad loss.
Rest In Peace Peter.
