I am sad to read this news and send my deepest condolences to Peter's family and friends. I first met Peter on a music therapists' road trip to Leuven in 1998 to attend the 4th European Music Therapy Conference. That was quite an adventure! Peter has hosted trainee placements for our music therapy students at Anglia Ruskin University for many years. He has made a huge contribution to the lives of others and the training journeys of music therapists. I will miss you Peter. Rest in peace.

I am so terribly sorry to hear such sad news and would like to extend love and sympathy to Graham and to the family. Peter and I met years ago and his passion for music therapy and commitment to the profession were always evident. He was such fun too! I remember many lively conversations and always laughing. One in a million - he will be greatly missed.

Over the years he went out of his way to support pupils and staff when they were at their most difficult to reach. Peter: Musical baths, Arts Weeks where the school was transformed into a magical sensory wonderland and the Christmas you converted the bike shed into Bethlehem’s stable: these memories are your legacy dear Peter. You loved life and living things: your garden your cat the sunrises on your train journey to school and sharing these loves you invited others to look at life through your eyes. I am deeply saddened to be writing this message and send my condolences to Peter's family in this moment of time. Peter was a great teacher to all our students, a smiley and joyful colleague to all and a great friend to many at our school. May you rest in peace Peter you had positive and impactful effect on many lives. Rest well mate.

Peter was such a kind and compassionate man. When I started at Whitefield he made me feel so welcome by inviting me to the cafe and buying me lunch. We made going to the cafe on a Thursday a regular occurrence and it was a great chance to catch up; as well as having bring and share lunches which Peter always advocated! We will miss him greatly and continue to think of him each week. The school will not be the same without him.

I knew Peter for only a short while at Whitefields, but in that limited amount of time he made such an impact on me. His compassion and commitment to the children was admirable. Working in a field that is challenging, he opened the gateway to communication and healing to many of our vulnerable pupils through music. He took the time to feedback and discuss the pupils he worked closely with, always reflecting and striving to move forward in order to help them.
Always smiling and laughing, his jolly demeanour was infectious. I know I speak for everyone here at Whitefields when I say that Peter has left a big hole here and will be sorely missed by all who ever worked with him - parents, pupils and staff alike.

I will always remember our last conversation, when I admired his pink shirt and told him I was determined to get my husband to wear more colour with Peter as the inspiration.
