Condolences to Phil Forde's Family.

A month to the day after her death and in keeping with Phil's trait when with us of being late, which would be as a result of doing something good for others. Please accept this Condolence on behalf of, as she would say, 'Her friends in Monivea'.

No words are strong enough to describe Phil's presence and connection over the years to all involved with Monivea Active Age. When in Monivea Phil graced the room, touched each and everyone before having a sometimes silent chat and more often a good hearty laugh. On outings Phil made sure not to return home without buying something for family or friends, often leaving the rest of us sitting on a Bus or a Train waiting for Phil. But, did anyone complain, Never.

We as a group are very proud to have known Phil. We are extremely proud of her decision to become a Silent Teacher in what she knew as NUIG, a place she was proud to wear their badge with pride on her Red Jacket. Phil is not gone she is just Silent which is hard to believe. But her wish to become a Teacher for the good of others will go on forever and ever. We will try to practice what we learned from Phil. Future Doctors and Nurses have gained one of the best ever, Silent Teacher to grace future education.

To Phil's family, thank you for sharing Phil with us, a gift we will not forget, a gift to cherish and a gift we miss.

Phil will always be remembered by her friends, the members of Monivea Active Age. 02/03/2025.

She had great interest in everything to do with the ICA and each and every member. She was a beautiful lady and was very popular with our members.
