Dear Paul,

We would like to offer our condolences to you and your family on the passing of your father. It was fate that we met on Wexford pier Sunday morning, chatting for over an hour we spoke about the church, faith and losing loved ones. The way you spoke about your sisters & mum shows the deep respect you have for them.

We loved the fact that your mum and dad are going to be reunited in Donegal this week, a beautiful way to bring them back together. It will be a hard week but a week to celebrate the great parts of his life.

He was so well known at Clonard Parish regularly joining us for Mass, he called in to say a quiet prayer often and of course for his weekly Lotto tickets and a chat. He spoke so often of his beloved wife and family and trips to Donegal. The Light of Heaven to you Phil.

Dolores and family .. I am so saddened to hear of the passing of your lovely dad. I loved meeting him every Tuesday in the friary and having our little chat and in Clonard also on Sunday. I will always think of him as I light my candles to St Anthony. A true gentleman who I’m delighted to have known for the last few years. May he rest now in heavenly peace.
