Dear Family,
I wish to express my deepest sympathy to each one of you on the death of your dear sister Phil..also to her nieces, nephews and all.
I have lovely memories of Phil, Sister Mary, when we lived together in Bicester. Phil was a lovely person, she had a good sense of humour and we had many laughs together, she and all of us in the Community.
Mary was our Headmistress for many years, a good head and loved by Staff and children as she was very fair.
I have lots of memories of Mary, one is of our early days in Bicester. We had a TV but the Superior was strict about what we watched.
Sometimes when doing our school work in the Community room Mary would switch on the TV and we would watch whatever was on. Then when we heard the Superior coming along Mary would switch it off and because in those days the TV would leave a light on for a minute before switching off completely Mary would stand in front of it and start telling us something until she felt sure the light was off fully, and then sit down!!!
These were innocent days and Mary loved TV.

I wish you all the best as you say good bye to Phil, may she rest in peace.
