Phil,
You gave us so much selflessly. I know you first as a loyal fan. You were so kind to me and I will never forget. You told us not to cry but its hard.
We had a lot of fun and great times that you gave us.
We learned from you.
You memory will be a legend before long.
Rest In Peace,
Andy and Eileen

Deepest condolences to Philip's family and friends. Thank you Phil for sharing your gift with the world. And thank you for being a thoroughly decent human being. R.I.P.
Phil, you asked me not to weep but I fear you asked too much as I cannot do much else. I had the privilege of knowing you my whole life, and the honour of you being part of my chosen family. You always valued me for me - only you could ask, in all seriousness, a five year old girl their opinion on a mix of a song! I am only glad you got to feel a little of the immense love so many have for you & hope it brings some comfort to your family & friends. London feels so far away right now, but my heart will be with you on Saturday...and I may even listen to our first recording together & sing once again like a five year old 'all hands to lifeboats, soul overboard'. Enjoy a peaceful, painless rest Phil - you've earned it. Lila xxx
Phil, You enriched our lives so in the early nineties in London. Our pilgrimages to the t&c and Brixton Academy in paddys day and Christmas were the best days if my life. I remember how I felt as an Irish emigrant the first time I heard "thousands are sailing" live, it captured perfectly how we all felt and gave us the drive to succeed despite the times. Rest in peace Phil, the poet laureate of the Irish abroad......until we meet again, Frank
My sincere condolences to Phil's family. I'll pray for his soul. Rest in peace dear Phil. God bless you.
