I was shocked and saddened to hear of Phil's passing and am so deeply sorry for your loss. Phil was an incredible professional who always had a smile no matter what he was working on. My heartfelt condolences to Michele, Kate, Aoife, Conor and Matthew. I first met Phil the best part of 10 years ago when paired with him at a Funds Industry golf outing. He was immediately friendly, warm, fun, and full of industry insight which left me with fond memories of that day. We kept in regular contact and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I was shocked and saddened to read of Philip's passing. I met him several times at work related events. He was a gentleman and a consummate professional. Deepest sympathies to his loved ones.

My deepest of heart filled sympathies go out to all of the Dempsey's and to all the rest that are grieving after Phillip's passing, which im sure is an astronomical amount. It's the saddest of news to receive, and he will never be forgotten.

He was bright, clever and widely respected. Philip had such a positive impact on so many people. I will miss our chats and his sound advice. I was in primary school with Phil and Richie and our paths crossed many times since. Phil was such a gent and had such a great attitude to life. Like many others, I’ll remember him fondly. As I queued with the hordes of Phil’s pals last night overlooking Greystones Harbour to pay him a final tribute – Brush Shield’s beautiful tribute to Phil Lynott came to mind:

It was a pleasure and honour to know Phil. A genuine, pleasant soul with always time for a chat and a laugh. Hugely admired and liked by so many across the funds industry. You will be much missed but not forgotten. Heartfelt condolences to all the family. Rest in Peace Phil.

I want to send my sincere condolences to all of Phil's family and friends, in particular to Michelle and the children whom he always spoke so highly of, every time I met Phil - typically at an industry event in London or Dublin (and even that one time he came to my neck of the woods for an industry golf event).
He was always kind, funny, helpful and generous of his time. The world was much better for his presence. Reading the messages from all the people Phil connected with, the common thread is what a decent, genuine, special guy he was.
