We were all shocked and deeply saddened following Philip’s passing. Philip was a true Christian role model to us all but especially in the Boys' Brigade with his work over many decades as a Officer and Captain which included over 10 years as an Officer in the 7th Company in Swords and Coolock. He also supported us in his role on the Board and latterly as our Vice-President.
All of the leaders, boys and past members of the 7th will deeply miss his warmth, fun, friendship, and words of wisdom.
At such a sad time, we wish to convey sincere and deep condolences to Miriam and Natalie and will continue to keep you and your wider family in our thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

With shock I have heard of Philip's passing. Having known Philip since we were both about 7 years old Philip has been my longest life long friend. I am truly proud and honoured to have had the opportunity to know such a genuine human being. His care to keep in touch with so many people from so many different aspects of his life (BB, church, school, work etc.,etc.) is an inspiration to us all. May he rest in peace with his beloved Christine. Blessings to Miriam and Natalie and the wider Denner family.

To the family of Philip Denner I was sorry to hear of his passing From his old friend Tony Larkin
Sincere condolences to all the family. So many great memories of Philip and the lovely Christine going back to the early days of FBC, 12C, Trinity Church and volunteering together with Team Hope shoe box appeal. A proper gentleman with a servant heart who loved Jesus and people and always looked dapper. Praying that the Lord will comfort you all at this sad time.
When our son Damian was killed on his motorcycle 1991 my brother Philip rang me and read a verse of a very old poem he had translated into modern English as follows. Mourn not for me now that I am dead . Remember NOT the hand that wrote this that I in your sweet thoughts might be forgot if thinking of me should make you sad. I hope Philips friends and relations will not remember him with sadness but remember him for all the time he gave to serving others not as fortunate as himself. His time as captain of the 14th Boys Brigade and St. Patrick’s Cathedral Choristers and so many others he pointed in the right direction. I will remember him for the gentleman he always was
" To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Deepest sympathy to all of Phillips family on their loss, praying that the hope of the resurrection comfort you all. Phillip and I came into 14th Comp. of the Boys Brigade at same time, with all the great relationship building and Sunday Bible Classes that were part of that experience.
We wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Denner family on the sad passing of Philip. He was a pleasant gentleman to have a conversation with. May he rest in peace.

With your own anecdotal insight, you came alongside the way-weary sojourner,
Encouraging their heart to keep going,
Just to the next turn in the road.
Thank you, dear friend and colleague, for your kind heart wrapped in a jovial smile.
You've reached the Celestial Gateway,
Where Christine waits to greet you
with an invite from your King.
For your dear family, friends and colleagues who grieve your passing:
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
Matthew 5:4

‘May your soul be at Our Lord's right hand.’
