Deepest sympathy to you Noeleen and family on Philips passing. He was one of the nicest guys one could ever meet. I really enjoyed the conversations political or otherwise we had at Bailieborough leisure Centre. To me he was a voice of reason in a crazy world. Rest in peace Philip.
My deepest heartfelt condolences to you
Noleen, all your family and his heartbroken parents on the sad passing of Philip. I am deeply and saddened to hear this. I was privileged to have got to know Philip and you Noleen at the Bailieborough Leisure Centre, such a kind and warm-hearted person. A joy to know. May Philips gentle soul rest in peace. The smile on his face tells it all.
We are so very sorry to hear of Philip's passing. May he Rest in Peace. Sending heartfelt sympathy to all in the Land family at this difficult time.
Over the past few days, here and all across Europe people, his friends and colleagues have shared lovely memories of Dad with us, talked about his boundless energy, kindness, larger than life personality; how his ideas helped them come together and benefit in so many ways whilst also gaining a great loyal friend in the process.

He was a great man and he was ours. We are so proud of him, for everything that he did and for everything that he created for us so that we can live on in his memory. He was never one for sadness, he didn’t like it and whilst we are all at our absolute saddest at this moment - he would say, ah chicken c’mon don’t be sad. And from there another adventure would start.

He made us happy. And we promise to continue to make him happy by living our lives in the way he would expect of us. To celebrate the everyday, to get busy living and more than anything else to help and mind each other.

We will miss him deeply and dearly but remember him forever and carry him in our hearts and actions for the rest of our lives.

Thanks Dad for being an absolute superstar and the greatest of all time. xxx

(Dad's Eulogy - Part 3)
Our lads Mark, Sid and Mike were more than sons-in-law to Dad. They were his friends, he loved their company, having a pint (or ten) with them, playing golf in Anfi, giving advice, directing and rescuing so many home DIY projects. They all definitely got the seal of approval and the up-thumbs.

He adored his grandchildren - got such a kick out of them and their little personalities Lily, Molly and Charlie. He is so proud of Karl, our very own trooper Symes and the super job Emma and Sid are doing in raising their family following very much in mam and dad’s footsteps.

He loved his parents Ag and Bob, was so proud of them and talked about them all the time. They are very much part of our family. He got so much of his mischievous nature and antics from Bob, they were so alike in all the best ways and he got his resilience, good taste, love of Arnotts and love of all the finer things in life from Ag. There was a proper way to do things and he knew it.

He had a big heart, he was always willing to help people and couldn’t understand why you wouldn’t. If he could, he would and most importantly he did. As a result of this, people have so many brilliant stories about Dad so many that I simply just couldn’t pick one or two to share today. I didn’t want to leave anyone out, so instead please enjoy, cherish and share the stories of Dad in the days, weeks, months and years to come as one thing is for sure, he will certainly never be forgotten.

(Dad's Eulogy - Part 2)
There is not enough ink, paper or time to capture all the wonderful and amazing aspects of our Dad, but this is what we know for sure.

He idolised our Mam, she was his absolute world as he was hers. He lived everyday knowing that they were in it together, spent almost every minute side by side, loved each other unconditionally and had the most incredible adventures together. They never sat still, always had a project on the go and packed so many treasured experiences into 42 wonderful years. And whilst not enough as he thought he’d live forever, he showed us how to live life properly, that memories were more important than anything else and his family meant the world to him.

He loved us, his girls and showed us this love every day - in the big juicy kisses and big warm hugs. We never wondered about his love for us and over the past few horrible weeks we knew how he felt about us and that he knew we loved him so much. As a family we had no regrets, we never fell out with each other, and despite covid we decided our family was the most important bubble and spent time together as if nothing else in the world mattered, just us. We lost no time and family life never missed a beat.

(Dad's Eulogy Part 1)
My sincere sympathy to all of Philip's family at this tragic time, to Noeleen, Jennifer, Emma, Sarah, his parents and relatives, I only knew him for such a short time but his generosity and kindness to me while working in the Hub Virginia will never be forgotten.
