Just came across this today, and truly sad and shocked. I worked with Phil musically 10-12 years ago and he was always a joy to behold and a great, great musician and character.
May he rest in eternal peace.

So sorry to hear of the death of Philip. Went to his Facebook page to send him Birthday wishes and discovered the sad news. Now he will be playing music in Heaven. Rest in peace Philip.Condolences to his family and friends.

Very fond memories of many great nights had in Cleo's in the Munster Arms Hotel, Bandon, the sing songs afterwards are now classed as legendary. Phil was a real old school professional, fabulous musician and lovely singer as well. Rest easy Phil, you've left us some great recordings that will be aired for years to come.

So sorry to hear this news. I have very fond memories of The Horse from childhood summers on the road with The Ramblers. Most memorably fighting over the mic on the stage of the Glen Eagle while belting out the chorus of Mr Punch and Judyman. Rest in Peace Phil and thanks for the memories.
