So sorry to hear of Phil's passing. He and Pauline were good pals of my parents all those years ago. Driving past his house once with my Dad a few years back, we saw him out in his garden and stopped the car. My Dad and Phil had a long chat, as if they'd seen each other the day before, though it had been many years since they'd met up. He was a major character in St. Patrick's Park Celbridge when I was growing up in it and a man you could trust and depend on with a good sense of humour and hard working. He was well respected in Reidy,s bar for his opinions on social issues in the 70s /80s.
