RIP Philip. I was so sorry to hear the news of Philip passing. My sincere condolences to Leon,Elliot and Jeanette and Adrienne. Jeanette and Adrienne, the love you both had for Philip was beautiful and obvious every time you me a story about him. I am thinking of you all.

Phil , there’s not enough words to sum you up , not a message I could write that can do you justice . You were funny and kind and caring and all things a big cousin should be . Just know that you are missed and you will be forever missed but I hope you’re at peace . You deserved so much better from life and I can only hope you’ve found it wherever you are now .

I'd often see him on visits to my partner in Bloomfield hospital.

I didn't know him in his life prior to Bloomfield. But he had such a lovely and gentle presence whenever I'd see him.

Very sorry to hear of Philip's passing. He was a standout character in secondary school and always seemed wise beyond his years. There was a hint of mischief about him at all times and he brightened many a dull day. Gone far too soon. May he Rest In Peace.

What great school days we had, from growing up going to school in Ard mhuire for many years, to working in the Belgard complex and weekends on the Shannon with the Murphy’s .

The only way to tell a good story is by living one.

You were such a big part of my story Phil, for a huge portion of my life. Much of my own story was written with you. Although back then the hair was on your head, not your face and you sailed on a fibreglass boat up the Shannon with me rather than a Viking Long Ship. Such great memories throughout school, our teenage and adult years. I’ve lost a Brother, not just a friend. In life we don’t get to rewrite the script but we certainly had some legendary scenes together along the way. You’ll always be part of who I am. Till we meet again Brother.

May Phil rest in eternal peace. I have very fond memories of Phil throughout my childhood . Always was a great kind soul . Thinking of you all at this sad time .
