Condolences to the May family and Philly’s wonderful friend Denis. What can anyone say that hasn’t already been said. Philly had a heart of gold, one wonderful character, there will never be the likes of him again. We will certainly miss your presence at many funerals locally and beyond, you helped many families, giving them your time, support, smile and words of encouragement at such a difficult time in their lives. We always parted with a smile and feeling much better each and every time out paths crossed. Thanks for the stories, laughs and wonderful memories.

It was a shock to hear this sad and unwanted news....Philly was such a significant presence around Bray, come rain or come shine. He will be greatly missed by the entire community.
There was never an occasion when a meeting and a chat with Philly didn't leave you informed, entertained or amused. He was a wonderful repository of local knowledge, colour and events.
A true Gael, whose passion for sport, especially GAA was infectious and totally genuine.
His sudden passing from his family and the community leaves us all bereft.

So sorry to hear of Phillys passing, I remember him from when Philly was storeman in Intel. The craic we used to have in the canteen and slagging was unbelievable, a great character and his sidekick and great friend Dinny Nolan. So sorry to hear of his passing there are less and less of his character left, May Philly rest in peace.
