Our hearts are broken and life will never be the same.
Philip, you had a deep impact on all those you encountered in life.
Reading your condolences it is obvious this followed you throughout your life stages. There are many examples going back as far as childhood from those who have never forgotten your love and support in times of need.
In your professional life there is a reason you were referred to as ‘Oscar Schindler’ as you fought to keep jobs for your employees over the years.
You taught us valuable lessons in life and in particular your non-judgmental way of seeing the best in everyone from every walk of life. You were always the champion of the underdog.

This legacy will live on through Triona and your family and friends.
Until we meet again x
— Adam
I just heard the very sad news about Philip passing, my deepest condolences to Philip’s family. I was in school with Philip in St Mary’s, lovely guy. It was lovely reading all the messages and I hope these brought some comfort to his family. It’s very sad to hear about somebody dying so young. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Triona, we are heartbroken for you at the passing of your beloved Philip. He was one of the kindest, most compassionate and loyal people that anyone had the good luck to know. I had the good luck to work with Philip for 26 years. He was remarkably generous with his time for his staff, team and clients which he made fun with his fabulous sense of humour. A true gentleman who will be sorely missed. Sincerest condolences to you Triona and the Lynch family. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I was lucky enough to work with Philip a little in HP Leixlip for a few years. Always a positive, happy guy. You could never have an argument, no matter how much you might have wanted to, he always turned it into a discussion, often ending in a friendly chat with a positive outcome all round. He always had a sense of happiness about him that immediately put you at ease and that smile that I'll always remember.

I knew Philip at primary school and unfortunately never saw him since. I'm unsurprised at the many condolences calling him a gentleman. He was a pleasure to be around. Positive, supportive, fun, but above all kind. I still well remember being overwhelmed with childish self-pity one yard time and Philip being the one who left the game of soccer or tip-rugby that everyone was playing to comfort me and build me back up. That was typical of him. As was him starting and then leading a fairly regular contest at yard time to see who could send their spit the furthest (he was pretty darn good at it!).
Sincere condolences to Triona, Eileen, and all in mourning.

Philip was one of the founding members of the exclusive Fonthill club, it started in around 1975 with only 4 members & by June 13th 1985 Live Aid day, it had over 40 special members packed into one room in 6 Fonthill Abbey, a landmark day for the best socal club in IRL. Pip was the Chairman and a player & taught me how to play poker, & i taught Phil chess, he was great at both, Philip was way ahead of his time in many area's, and above all was a very kind person. RIP Phil you have left great memories & a cherished legacy. The Murphy familys thoughts are with the Lynch family at this time of great loss
