I had the privilege of knowing Phil during our years as rural coordinators. We attended many inservices and meetings together and I always looked forward to meeting her. Such a kind caring and fun lady. She loved her family so much. My sincere condolences to you all on your huge loss. May Phil's gentle soul rest in peace.

She was a wonderful teacher. When we met in later years during my own teaching career, Phil's enthusiasm for and interest in every child in her care was still so evident. We went to school together in Castlecomer to the Presentation Convent in the 60s .We received our first communion together along with Nuala on 5th June 1960. I still have an original group photograph of the occasion .We lost touch after they moved back to Clonmel as we were only small children at the time. May Philomena rest in eternal peace .
