Dear Daly family, Phil knitted cardigans for my daughter when she was a baby 10 years ago. I have given away most of her old things, but Phil’s cardigans are among our treasured possessions. I remember her visiting us in Marley when we were visiting in November 2010 and I remember the conversation with her in my parents house. We LOVED Phil. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. Please know that I watched her funeral on the Webcam from Cincinnati today and was absolutely there in Spirit xxx

To Hugh and Family. I'm thinking of you all on this very sad day. Phil was so kind and thoughtful during my visit last September. Her hospitality was unparalleled. She did everything for me, from picking me up from the airport, organized a family get-together, supplied lots of teas and chats where we reminisced about everything, particularly Rathmines Library. (Her last text to me said "life would be awful if I couldn't read"). She tracked me on the No.16 bus, picked me up from the bus stop and finally drove me to the airport where we had a lovely long final chat in rush hour traffic which I will never forget. I will miss her.

I have known your mums name ever since orla became my daughter in law and i saw lilacs lovely knitted garments knit by Phil.
I saw Orlas sadness that a dear friend had died when up visiting me on Friday, I will be watching her funeral. May her soul rest in peace.
