This is terrible news, even if it was widely expected. A few months ago, Anna May Heffernan, Michael's wife, told me that Phil had got bad news following hospital tests. Eddie Murphy, of Centra fame, kept me appraised of what was happening. Andy Rigley told me that Phil was "very low" at the time her brother-in-law, Paddy Walsh, had died.
Phil was, indeed a true lady. She was always a lovely person. Undoubtedly, Cooladine and the Lambert and Murphy families have lost one of the best.
