My sincere condolences on the death of your mother. In 1985, I spent a wonderful week with Phil in Dundrum. She was so kind and took great care of us. I am very sorry that she has passed away. But I think she had a full life. Bon voyage, Phil... it was nice to have met you. Margit from Germany
Mama,
I miss you.
So very much.

When I leave the house I keep thinking I need to get back to you, I wonder who is looking after you, and then I suddenly remember...

We lived together 50 years.
You looked after me so well after Daddy died.
You are my sounding board, my best friend, my support, my companion, my fellow tv viewer, my minder.
Thank you for being a wonderful Mother. Thank you for giving me all the opportunities a child could wish for. Thank you for looking after me so well.
Thank you for marking with biro the programmes you think I'd like to watch in your tv guide.
Thank you for making me stewed apple and custards.
Thank you for all your lists, especially those you'd go through when I'd come home from work- "Can you open this?" "Wait till I tell you...," "Guess what i saw in the garden..."
Thank you for making our house beautiful, for making and mending our clothes, for cooking for us, for keeping a beautiful garden. And for so much more...

You are the funniest, smarty-pantiest, cutest, flirtiest, most creative, most disciplined, most energetic, most thoughtful little lady I know. Irreplaceable.

You told me years back, that after you go I have to go on living. That I'll be out all the time, making new friends. A new life. You told me "You have to bite the bullet."
I'm trying Mam.
One day at a time.
Thank you for helping me.
For putting things in my path.
For caring for me still. Xxx

Love you Mam.
I will always love you.

Thank you for everything x
Dear Zelie, my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your beloved Mum, Phil. May she rest in peace. You are in my thoughts & prayers at this sad time. You were the most wonderful caring daughter. Sending big hugs, xxx
To Auntie Phil, You will be greatly missed by me. You had a great Sense of humour and left every one in stitches. You were so beautiful in your younger days I thought you must be famous when I was a child. Do you remember you came to England to see if you could live here. Mum, was very pleased at the prospect. But you said you missed the mountains. Uncle Tom admitted it would never work. We were upset when you went back to Dublin. We did understand. We loved coming to your house with the huge garden. Playing on the tennis court. Well goodbye A. Phil. I pray for you and U. Tom and my lovely cousins. We will meet again in the fulness of time. Have fun catching up with all those who have gone before. All my fondest love, Ann.xx
Ma McGrath was unique and had a quirky sense of humour that was so her. She will be missed. Fly high little bird.
Ma,
Thank you for being there when we needed you. You have left a hole in our lives that can’t be filled. Love you always❤️
Aunty Phil is now at rest, with Tom, after a lifetime of working for others. Our condolences to the family and our prayers are with you.
My deepest sympathies to you Zelie, Mossie, Philip and Malo. We were so fortunate to live next door to the McGraths when we were children and the back door was always open to us. Phil looked after us as if we were her own children. She really was a ‘Mother’ to everyone who visited her and everyone felt at home. Zelie your dedication and constant caring for your Mum over the years was truly inspirational. May Phil’s gentle soul rest in peace.
Phil was a wonderful woman who endured much suffering in her life, particularly in her later years. We trust she is with God now, receiving her rewards. We hold Zelie and her three sons in our thoughts and prayers, that you may receive comfort and support during your time of bereavement. May God's peace surround you all.
Our sincere condolences to my dear friend Zèlie and family on
the passing of your mother Phil.
She was a fiercely independent lady whom I remember on her
bike cycling through Dundrum.
She spoke fondly to me of her love and admiration for her children and also her love of Orangutans.
The level of care Phil received from her loving daughter Zèlie was above and beyond.
May she rest in peace.
Hugs to you all.. ❤️ A very strong willed woman, full of character, loved by many and will always be remembered. Although her final years were tough, they were filled with much love and laughs from you all, especially Zelie.. to say you dedicated your life is an understatement but much appreciated by all your family, including your mammy😊 May your eyes leak a little less sadness in time😢 and be exchanged by tears of laughter remembering all the amazing, funny times you shared❤️❤️❤️
May you rest in peace Phil....
Strength and love to you Zelie. Your Mam will be sorely missed.
RIP Phil and fly little bird! It was nice knowing you and spend a little part of my life with you, i will never forget it. You are always in my heart, especially because you gifted me Philip. Xxx

Dearest Malo, Zelie, Tom, Ciara, Leah and family,

I heard stories of Phil for years before I was lucky enough to meet her. Phil was welcoming, full of fun and had a very youthful twinkle in her eyes as she flirted with my brother! A few days with her and I felt like family, I cannot imagine the hole she has left in your hearts.

My prayers are with all of you during this time.

All our love, Celeste, Graham and family

My sincere condolences Zeilie, may you cherish all the beautiful moments you have shared together with the Little Bird. My lasting memory of her will always be when she visited Switzerland with her cousins in 1997. I was to drive all 5 to a restaurant but there were only 4 seats in the car. She piped up and said “I’m not sitting with the auld ones up front” and insisted on sitting in the boot. A beautiful person who looked out for others. May she rest in peace.
