My memories of Phil go back to a wonderful walking holiday, in the west of Ireland, many moons ago. Phil, The Matron, and my sister Abigail, The Sister, were my walking companions. No shortage of blister plasters for sore feet with those two!
I can still see Phil, beautifully turned out in her walking gear, smiling face to the wind, and her hair, all blown back, not a care in the world.
