To all the murray family I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother Phyllis, I got to know your father Gerry as a man who I visited,I enjoyed our chats together on a wed and Fridays especially on the progress of the Tipperary hurlers. Phyllis would always chat about her school days and why they left dublin to come and live in templetheny for the peace and tranquility of that area. She spoke as gaeilge alot in her home and always wanted the Irish language to thrive. May each and everyone know the perfect peace in the Lord our Saviour.

Auntie Phil and Uncle Gerry were huge figures in my childhood. I remember her trying to force me to eat spinach (Popeye!) in Temple St hospital, and travelling also from Raheny with my mother and Paul and Aisling by bus to their Rathfarnham home to jump on the beds with her sons! Later I recall fun and games in the Murray's long garden in Glenageary. As a working young woman in my 20s who complained to her of my being tired of long office hours, she once said to me '... you should be in your bath by 6.30am every morning!' She and Gerry had a strong marriage, and I know that May and Peter in Reigate adored being with them on holiday. The last time I visited Powerstown Cemetery to see the Hague family grave there, including that of our lovely cousin Anne Hague, it was in Phil's company. In many ways she was the most Quaker-like adult in the McGrath family. We salute her concern for poverty and the under-dog, and her wanting to do something about it. Long live Auntie Phil's legacy! Maith an chailin!
