Condolences Phyllis's family . I have great childhood memories of Phyllis when she worked in Jimmy Harrison's shop always very chatty and friendly and in recent years when I met her in the Sheds . Will be sadly missed . Rip Phyllis

I always had great craic with Phyllis when I started working in spar on Vernon avenue as a young lad she would always have a smile on her face and have the banter,

later in life I had great craic as I worked behind the bar with herself and Liam in the Sheds when the would visit,

That was a beautiful funeral for your Mum, Peter, you should all be very proud. Thinking of you, Stephen and of course Liam, who was as devoted to Phyllis, as she was to him. My thoughts are with you all, Karen

Phyllis was the queen of Auburn Hair Salon. Shes been coming to this Salon for over 40 years. She was the loveliest lady she will be very much missed by the staff and all the clients. Our thoughts are with Liam stephen Maria and all the family. RIP Phyllis

I am heartbroken to learn of the death of my old friend. My mind drifts back to all those years ago when we were both so young and free. We had out dreams and ambitions even at that age. Each of us watching the other coming into her own. I savoured our friendship in deep intense bursts with time for reflection in between.

Now that my memories are all I have of my friend I need to meditate on very one, setting them aside in my mind like a priceless gem.

Her kindness, joy of life and laughter comes back to me now as if it was yesterday. Her zest for life was a wonder. Yet the part of me that laughed with her still listens to her voice.

When I think of my friend I breathe the deepest freshness, deep down.

Phyllis doubled as my personal historian and now she is gone but will never be forgotten, she was a marvel.

Rest now my friend, you brought joy to so many

An absolute joy to see everyday….we always bumped into Phyllis along the laneway…that smile would melt away any of our burdens…and we could just ‘be’ and have an ol’ chat for a few minutes….and realise that sunshine emanates from those whom give, engage, listen, and share a part of themselves. Meanders along our shared lane will be filled with thoughts of her. A special lady!
