Deepest Condolences to Warren,Ruth,Maeve,Sarah and families at this sad time. Phyllis was always a lovely kind gentle lady any time we met her as children in Coalbrook. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers at this time. May Phyllis rest in eternal peace.
My heartfelt condolences go out to the family especially Warren, Ruth, Maeve and Sarah who are our long term dear friends and Christian Family.
Phyllis never changed and was the lady we knew who always kept busy between cooking and growing crops in Coalbrook and looking after fowl. There was always some lovely homebaked food in the kitchen and the smells would consume you on entering and you could hear Phyllis humming a tune as she worked merrily and there was always a peace about her.
I personally loved visiting Coalbrook and it was my adventure ground with so much going on and people visiting. Phyllis and Warren gave so much love, care and help to those around them unconditionally.
I remember one summer Phyllis had me stay at their house in order to paint each of the rooms and think I stayed nearly a week. I was paid £10 per room which back then was very generous and I felt so worthy and valued. It was not about the money but the trust she put in me delivering a service, one of my first paid jobs. Phyllis commented that I was very neat and tidy and not sloppy.
Thank you Phyllis for being you, warm- kind- non judgmental- open-empathetic-gifted and godly. You shone wherever you were and may god bless you and keep you in his care.
Warmest memories. Thomas Cantwell- Birmingham, UK
