I grew up in London and was a young boy when I first met Phyllis my uncle Paddy’s wife many years ago. Their home in Douglas was always the first stop after we got off the boat at Rosslare. Phyllis would always have nice food ready and a comfortable bed for the night. On one occasion I remember Paddy and Phyllis taking me to a score of bowls in Drimoleague. Years later my son and daughter also spent time with them during the summer holidays We now live in Canada and unfortunately haven’t been to see them for a few years. My family will always remember Phyllis as a kind gentle soul. May she rest in peace.
