My deepest condolences to Denise and the extended Lawlor family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I have fond memories of visiting your home when we were at school together and the hospitality shown to me. PJ’s funeral service was a lovely tribute to him and you must be very proud of the great contribution he made in his lifetime.

Dear Sandra so sorry to hear of PJ passing, only heard yesterday got a big shock. Will be thinking of you and your boys, so sad to lose a husband and a dad at such a young age. May PJ rest in peace. ❤️❤️

Sincere condolences to all the Lawlor family. PJ was a Section commander for the 8th recruit Platoon at Casement Aerodrome in Baldonnel in 1985. He was at all times fair and went on to become friends with some of the lads after they passed out.
He was a positive role model and it is clear from the comments here that he remained that way.
May he rest in peace.

Sandy and family, I am so sorry to hear of P.J.'s death. Remembering great times in the skydiving club. P.J. always looking out for you and had your back a true friend. May he rest in peace.

PJ was like an extra big brother to me and a founding member of the Naas Falcons parachute club, so loved by all his friends there and indeed found Sandy there too, what a great example to me growing up, and as Helena says a true lifesaver to so many.

I remember fondly the day after a big party at the DZ, . We all stumbled around looking above and wondering if the clouds were high enough to permit jumping..
PJ, launching a rescue flare (presumably from old Aer Corps stocks) to test the altitude of the cloud bases only to see an Aer Corps rescue helicopter come in to land about two minutes later.. PJ fearing he had inadvertently beckoned the chopper and with his Aer Corps career now in serious doubt he rapidly disappeared .. as it turned out they had just gotten fogged in enroute to somewhere else, needed a place to land and by complete chance saw our wind sock.

Our lives were full of such stories back then.. PJ was always in the thick of most of them, and I’ll forever miss him.
