P.j.was a gentle,kind and one of a kind person who gave a breath of sunshine and hope to all who took their animals to him,his face would light up,like fireworks, when he spoke about his wife and family...he was an amazing man and already,those wonderful traits can be seen in his 3 wonderful children, adults and grandchildren...you've a difficult time ahead with your mother but together, you'll grow stronger...hugs ❤️

Very sorry to learn of PJ’s passing. He was a friend of my father Tom Bourke chemist, and I had the privilege of working with PJ for two summers when in school in the 1970s helping out on calls - happy memories of a lovely person who was a great vet and a gentleman. RIP PJ

PJ was our family vet down through all the years and when PJ whizzed into the yard, from a small job to a big emergency like a C section; our parents Christy and Mary sighed with relief as you knew your animal was in the safest of hands when PJ arrived and he could work miracles when needs be. He was a consummate professional, always, as well as being an absolute gentleman and an interesting person with a great laugh. Thank you PJ. May you now rest in peace and God console your loved ones.

I have so many lasting and funny memories of this wonderful person and vet whom I worked with in the 80's (similar scenarios one would see in "All Creatures Great and Small"!!). He was a great mentor when I was starting out on my own career with animals. His profound wisdom and guidance will forever remain etched in my mind. PJ's absence is deeply noted as he leaves a beautiful legacy of memories.
