We enjoyed his company for many years both in the medical areas of The Richmond, Beaumont and St. Josephs Hospitals and in the sailing scene of Sutton Dinghy Club and Howth Yacht Club. He was a larger-than-life character and will be much missed by all his friends.

Dear Family of Tony, Sorry, I could not get to his funeral. I have great memories being involved in clinical trials in the Richmond when he sent me to St. Mark’s Hospital in London. Also fond memories of him and Pauline in Dundrum and Sutton. I also bought a boat from him in the 60s. May he rest in peace with Pauline.

Dear former Ambassador Gearóid Ó Clérigh,
I was so saddened to hear about the loss of your dear brother. The passing of a loved one is never easy and I pray that God gives you and your entire family peace and strength during this very difficult time in your lives. Please know that my thoughts, prayers, and sympathies are with you all.
Someone shared this sentiment with me and I’d like to share it with you. “Grief is a dark place, but every good wish from a friend or neighbor is like a candle of comfort and strength that helps us remember and re-emerge into the light”. I pray that my words of comfort brings you and your family just what you need to begin your journey of healing and that as time passes your pain becomes less and the treasured and happy memories you have of your brother brings you comfort and peace because it’s the memories that we carry in our minds and hearts that keeps them alive.
May your dear brother Rest in Peace.
Kindest regards,
Sondra
