To Aido, John and to Mark’s wife and family,
I was very sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. I have fond memories of his time on The Close and The Rise, putting “go faster” stripes on the side of his car. Always with a kind word and a sense of humour, whether in the shop or outside it. May he rest in peace.

Dear Aido, Rene, Charmaine, Dominique, Paige, Ethan & all your extended family we wish to offer our deepest sympathy on the death of Mark. May he rest in eternal peace.
I received and read last Wednesday morning (13 Aug) the Knock Union notice released to advise of Mark’s passing. It was a bit like an Angelus moment from the past, whereby one might occasionally pause for a few seconds to reflect, and that’s what I did for sure on this occasion. I haven’t seen Mark in years, we used to connect up here and there through a classmate pal of mine – Mannix! also Mark became a humble successor of mine as treasurer of the Union.
Mark was such a lovely fella with that easy going demeanour of his, kind to the core, clever and sound and had a great sense of humour and devilment to enlighten everyone’s interest. My sympathy to Adrian and all the Peters Family here in Ireland and in SA, Mark was taken away far too early. Rest in Peace.

My sincere sympathy to Mark's family and to the extended Peters family. His Mum and Grandmother were a delight to shop with in Mount Merrion.
Mark was a beautiful man and I had the pleasure of knowing him since childhood in Ballyheigue. Himself and Ado inseparable, walking over across the Green to the lodge and getting stuck in with the locals, those earlier years.
A big generous man always interested in us, he’ll be missed.
Sincere condolences to Charmaine, Dominique, Paige, Ethan and John. To his great brothers Ado and John.
All the best old friend.

Dear Adrian, John and Marks family
I am so saddened to hear of Marks death , sincere condolences to you all.
I have the fondest of memories of Mark in the shop when I was little - one standout memory was when Mark had wrapped a present for my birthday- i have no idea what the present was - probably a penny sweet - but i do remember the unwrapping- box within box within box within box …. I was so thrilled !
Marks kindest continued when we met again in Sth Africa when i was there for work - he opened his home to me and provided the perfect safe haven - just the antidote for homesickness that I need.
Much love to all xxx

So sad to hear about Mark's passing. He arrived a year after me in Castleknock and it wasn't too long before he shattered my illusions and position as a good sprinter on the college athletic team, by powering past me at the finishing line...with that Mark smile! A great guy and a pleasure to have known him. Rest in Peace.
Sincere sympathy and condolences to Mark's family. Even as a classmate in school, he was the sort of guy you looked up to, and he was always friendly, thoughtful and good company. We're all at a loss with his passing. May he rest in peace.

To Mark’s immediate and extended family
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mark Peters. He was not only a wonderful colleague but also a true great friend in the early 1980’s.
His sense of humour could brighten any room, and he had a way of making even the most stressful days a little lighter. he was always at the heart of things - the kind of person, people naturally gravitated toward. Whether it was offering help, sharing a laugh, or stepping up when it mattered most, he did it all with sincerity and warmth.
He made a lasting impact on everyone Lucky enough to have known him.
My thoughts are with his family and all who loved him during this difficult time.
With deepest sympathy

A line of cars would beep passing our house, on their way over to the Lodge, under the clear blue sky - Mark, John & Aido were back in town…
May your Gentle Soul Rest in Peace Mark.

What a great man he was.
I attended Castleknock College in Dublin with Mark in the 70's and he was one of the best in our year. The memories shared and fondness expressed by many among fellow college mates this week, bears testimony to just how great Mark was and how he will be deeply missed by all of us that knew him so well.

We had the pleasure of knowing Mark when we lived in JB. We became great friends and had dinner with Mark and Charmine and kids in March this year. He was in full health and as usual had good laughs on our catch up. We are shocked and saddened by the rappidness of his death. He was one in a millon..as someone said to me yesterday.
