I attended college with Rachel where we did our B.A together, I was lucky to have had a friendship that grew beyond that. Rachel was the kindest, funniest and most considerate person. I met Rachel just over a year ago and what a joy it was to know her. I remember the day she came in and said she had just ran a marathon in Amsterdam all of our jaws were on the floor! We would meet for sea dips and I will think of Rachel every time I go to the sea. She was so funny an unforgettable personality. I am sending love and support to her family and friends.

My beautiful friend Rachel - all the adventures we had growing up in Malahide and the Sycamores. Our amazing summer away in Connecticut au pairing, visiting NYC and Long Island.

Our many, many times getting ready for the disco at Bective and Wesley at Kate’s house. You always had the best outfits from Morgan borrowed from Emma or gifted by your Mum.

My memories of you are full of laughter, giggles and mischief. You were so loved by all who knew you and you fought so hard. You did everything right. I am just so sad you have parted this world. But you have left a lasting imprint behind.

I will never forget you and I will do all I can to tell every woman I know to get checked.

I will remember your beautiful smile and infectious laughter.

Paul, I was terribly saddened to hear of the shocking news of a loss of a young lady who had so much life left to live.

A Mam, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a colleague, a friend… I didn’t know the name at first, but was sad at the devastating loss for so many people.

When I made the connection, my heart went out to you and your son. The many tributes below give a real sense of who Rachel was, a beautiful and wonderful person. No doubt her loss will be very deeply felt.

I hope that you, Cillian and all of Rachel’s family and friends find the strength to sustain you in the difficult times ahead. Take good care.

I only saw her in oct for the swim in pink she was so active and full of life and always talking about her Cillian, no words for how cruel this life can be.
