Rachel Creevey

Deepest sympathies to Rachel's family and friends. Rachel did so much good work through her advocacy and awareness and youth work activities. She was a positive role model for young people and a great colleague. She was always upbeat, eager to learn new things, and had a great sense of humour. She will be sadly missed.

So sorry to learn of Rachel’s death. She was always such a cheerful and wonderful presence in Ardscoil LaSalle. I have such fond memories of her and how she was an example to us all. My deepest sympathy to all her family. Suaimhneas Síoraí uirthi!

So sad to hear of Rachel’s passing. I was so lucky to work with Rachel in IWA, and missed our bi-weekly “meeting” we had in our diary when I left. She was never afraid to push herself out of her comfort zone, and spoke so amazingly well representing IWA a number of times. She will be so, so missed. Thinking of her family, xxx

I am very sad to hear of Rachel‘s passing. I got to know her when I edited IWA’s magazine. She was always such an intelligent, conscientious, warm and positive person - just very nice to be around. She spoke a lot about her family, and it was obvious how proud she was of her nieces and nephews, and how loving and supportive of her her whole family was. Condolences.

The news of Rachel's passing brought to the surface, across the DFI team, sadness, loss and such appreciation of her as a beautiful person who also supported others and was a great advocate.

Through her engagement in DFI we saw her skill and commitment to the disability community and equally I became keenly aware of the importance of her family in her life.

Rachel now rests in peace after a good, yet, short life. I also hope that her family find some consolation, in time, in the knowledge that Rachel made a great contribution. She will also be remembered softly for her friendship and thoughtfulness.

Rachel arrived in Ardscoil La Salle with a smile and an energy that belied the challenges life posed for her. She quickly embraced school life and was loved by all those she encountered. Her quiet can do pholosophy was apparent to all. She enriched the lives of both students and staff. It was a privilege to have her as a student.
