Our Deepest Condolences to Dave, Juliet & Patrick on the death of your wife and mother Rachel. I would always look forward to the many times each year, when Rachel arrived to her holiday home at Derryfunchion, which she did for over 40 years. Her gentle and kind nature was always a pleasure to be around.
We all have such fond memories of time spent with Rachel in Cork and in Cambridge. Trips out west to Derryfunchion were much anticipated, as were birthday cards from her - they were always the best! We are sad and send our love to Dave, Paddy and Juliet.
My memories of Rachel are of all the happy times we spent together in and around Derryfunchion in West Cork, especially the walks with the family dog, Finn, to Barley Cove. She was without doubt one of the kindest most principled people I have known. My heartfelt condolences to Dave, Juliet and Patrick. Hold tight to each other now.
Our deepest sympathies to Dave, Patrick and Juliet at Rachel's passing. She was an amazing person, warm, generous and kind. She was a wonderful godmother to me, always down-to-earth, caring and full of good advice. She was dubbed 'fairy godmother' by my daughter Ashling, and she really did sprinkle a little magic! We will miss her

Dear David, Patrick and Juliet and extended family so very sorry to hear that Rachel has passed away. When she was visiting in Derryfunshion, we used to meet up for lunch or she would come to us for dinner and it was always a pleasure to see her. We hadn’t heard from her during the last several years so feeling very regretful that we didn’t make more of an effort. Thinking of you all at this sad time.
