Our sincerest condolences to Rob, Liz, Jill and Sandra and your families, June and the extended Hendy family on the passing of Rainsford. He was such a lovely gentleman and a kind neighbour and we have such great memories of the time we spent ‘next door’ as children. Thinking of you all at this very sad and difficult time.

Rainsford was a gentleman, of great character, a robust debater he loved his community, county and country, always up for a good political encounter, a proud and active member of Fine Gael and a committed member of the Church of Ireland, active in his parish and Diocesan Synod.

We will miss him greatly.

He took me to many a dance, and I remember he was an ace dancer esp the waltz, and he loved his cars, but he loved his family beyond everything else.
