Condolences to Ralph's family and professional colleagues. As a consultant on the Irish National Seabed Survey 25 years ago I worked closely with Ralph in sometimes difficult circumstances. He was a joy and inspiration to work for. I particularly recall working with him in his office in jodphurs and riding boots during the RDS horse show. May he rest in peace.
Sincerest sympathies to you Margaret and to your family on your very sad loss. Ralph was a truly wonderful colleague when we were all young fifty years ago working in the Geological Survey of Ireland. He was an excellent geologist who made a substantial contribution to Irish geology in particular producing the first modern interpretation since the 19th century of the geology of the Dingle peninsula. It was always a great joy to work and to spend time with him. We also have such good memories, Margaret, of all the times spent together with you, Ralph, and your family. Such treasured memories. May he rest in peace.
