My deepest and sincerest sympathies to Mary and family on the sudden and untimely death of an auld pal and mixed partner on the golf course .
Will cherish memories of the great days golfing and craic we had in Portmarnock after the Irish opens ,and in later years.
He was taken too soon. RIP

Saddened to hear the news of Rays passing. I always enjoyed meeting Ray when we worked on the road, and we stood many times together waiting for our sales orders to be signed and had a laugh . I was very saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Ray on Friday last.
I recall doing Touch Judge for him, as he refereed a Rugby Schools final in Corinthians
in mid 2000's. I always found him good company. I liked his wit and sence of humour.
He will be missed in "The Bounty".
It is a pity in these Covid times, that the Rugby and Golf communities cannot attend his

Shocked & saddened to hear of the passing of my old friend Ray. To Mary, their children, & to Hilary & Donal, my sincere & heartfelt condolences. I grew up directly across the road from Ray, on St.Assam’s Road West, in darkest Raheny. We were friends for many years, & had many wild adventures together in our childhood & teens. May his kind heart rest softly.Codladh go samh.

As coach and President, I will always associate Ray with some of the best years of my CYM life. Ray would drive up to Dublin from Athlone two or three times a week for training and matches, often dragging some of Athlone’s rugby elite along with him (not you Lenny). Such was his commitment to the club, he even unleashed his CYM boys on his hometown of Athlone and his 2nd favourite club, Buccaneers RFC. Some might say he should have known better but, no matter what, Ray had our backs. Thanks for everything Coach. Sincere condolences to David, Donal and the whole family.
