To Maria, Gillian, Ray Jr., and the Moore family. I am deeply saddened by Ray's passing. Having trained for him for over 30 years, he was the most loyal and supportive owner a trainer could ask for. He introduced many new clients to the yard and always remembered the stable staff with his generosity. Ray was a very positive and optimistic man who always expected to be successful in everything he did, including his horses. He certainly knew how to celebrate a winner and learned how to cope with the “losers” We had many wonderful days and nights around the racetracks of Ireland. I remember many a sing-song where Ray entertained us with his humorous party pieces. I always considered Ray to be my lucky owner, but in reality, I was the lucky one to have known him. I will really miss him. Rest in Peace, Ray.

A true gentleman, who embraced life and would light a room with his fantastic sense of humour.
He will be missed by all who have had the pleasure of meeting him.
We send our best wishes to all his family at this sad time.
Till we meet again on that great golf course in the sky.
We are all reflecting on the many wonderful aspects and achievements of Ray’s life but Drogheda and the Northeast has lost one of its greatest ever entrepreneurs. Ray successfully built Hibernia and it will be a lasting reminder of what a brilliant business man he was. Of course he had a “steely” determination, but he was charming, always fair and someone who was trusted by all who had the pleasure of doing business with him. He also planned for the future and so the next generation had already continued his great work in the business. My Deepest condolences to his family and his very large circle of friends but also condolences to Ireland’s business community who has lost one of its strongest girders. RIP
