Karen we are very sorry to hear of the death of your Dad. Please give our condolences to your Mam Jenny and all your family. We left for overseas in 1967 around about the time your Dad's footballing career was starting to take off. Have read the Wikipedia write up and the other condolences he was a great footballer and travel business manager. But most important of all, he was your Dad and I am sure you will miss him greatly, as will your children, his grandchildren. MDN is a dreadful business but he is free of all that now and ready to score again in that great football pitch in the sky, as the renowned striker he most certainly was. Lots of love to you and all your family in this sad time.

From 'Star' as Ray christened me during one our many foreign soccer expeditions in the early nineties. Ray was the Star to go on an away trip with, a gent of a man, throughly professional and still able to mix in with the lads, Fond memories. RIP.

Ray was one of my first boss in the Travel Industry, and he was such a Gentleman. He continued to be a wonderful friend to myself and my family. Gone far too soon but will never be forgotten. Rest well Ray.
