As a former teacher and Principal of St Tiarnach's Secondary School, Raymond made a hugely positive contribution to the education of many generations during his career in the town of Clones. He will be remembered with great fondness for his endearing human qualities, his kindness and gentle nature - a friend to all.

Raymond was my teacher at St. Tiernachs in the 1960's. I was far away from home in Lismore Co. Waterford and he treated me like a son. He was a very special person. Rest his soul.

It was with sadness we learned of the death, of Raymond, the last founding director of Clones Credit Union.

At our 60th Anniversary AGM, in 2019, we had the pleasure of hearing Raymond tell us, how it was back in 1959, when under the guidance of Fr.Paddy Gallagher, Raymond and 9 others decide to form Clones Credit Union.

Our members and our community will always be Grateful to Raymond and his colleagues for their foresight back in 1959.
