Ray taught me violin for a short time when I was a teenager, about 30 years ago, but I never forgot him and after a long break I've recently taken up playing again. I'll play a tune for Ray and thank him for his kindness and patience all those years ago. Ar dheis de go raibh a anam.

So sorry to hear of rays death. The oshea family have got an awful wiping out in the past few years. I remember being visiting your home in nashes road one time that I was on holidays in holly hill and Ray was playing the bagpipes in the kitchen.
Auntie May told him to stop that he was trying to drive the visitors away.
He was often on holidays in cahir. He was 2 days older than don. 28th April 1947

Happy memories of Ray (and Frank and Chris) staying with our family in Cahir and Kathleen Henry and Donal visiting (not today or yesterday) and Ray putting me up in the North Mall and bringing me to music sessions in the area. A warm gentle generous artistic man and super musician. Rest in peace Ray.
