Raymond (Ray) CRANLEY

So sad to hear of Ray's passing. We all loved hearing his 50's and 60's music when he came down to play for the Laragh Active Retirement group at the Brockagh Centre. The Sunbeam Active Retirement members would like to send sincere condolences to all Ray's family at this sad time.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Ray's passing. Many fond memories working as a lounge boy in the Orchard Inn in the early 80's listening to Ray play and sing a brilliant programme of songs, which hugely influenced me as a young fella... Rest in peace Ray... and thanks for the music.

The last time i met Ray was in Enniskerry and bought 2 paintings of the International Hotel.
We had a great chat as he had worked in Dargle and Bray Laundry with my Uncle John.
He had a great talent which he shared with everyone.

I only met Ray for the first time a few years ago through the Wednesday night get togethers where he provided great entertainment for everyone. Many of his beautiful art work is hanging on the wall in the Bray Meals on Wheels hall. A true gentleman and a very talented person in more ways than one.

I wish to express my deepest and sincerest sympathy to Jacinta Robert Lucy and Timmy and all the Cranley family at the sad passing of Ray RIP.

I first met Ray when I was visiting my late beloved great aunt Teasy Bradley RIP. Ray was a great neighbour and friend to Teasy and was greatly loved by her. Ray was always willing to help and keep an eye on Teasy which we as her family members hugely valued.

Ray was a man of immense talent and was great fun to be with. He had a great knowledge of , and interest in, local history. Through his musical and artistic talents he will be sorely missed by many.

I will offer a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the repose of Ray's soul RIP and will be keeping Jacinta and all the family in my thoughts and prayers at this most distressing time for you all.

He was incredibly knowledgeable about Bray and its history and I learned a lot from him. He was a talented painter but modest about his skill and achievements.
