I was so sorry to read of Rays passing. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met and an amazing talent. We had some of our best ever nights out at his gigs in the embankment and the lower deck, we so looked forward to going to hear him and the platform lads every week. He was so funny with his version of "Cinders", no matter how many times we heard it we fell around laughing every time. My condolences to his family, I have no doubt that he will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Ray.
My deepest sympathy to the Kennedy family. Ray was always a delight to listen to. Many happy evenings at The Embankment and The Lower Deck. RIP.
So sorry to learn of Ray’s passing.
Almost half a lifetime ago I had the pleasure of doing many, many gigs with Ray.
My deepest condolences to Joanne, Emma, Ray & Gordon.
RIP Ray... Happy to meet sory to part.
So sorry to learn of Ray's passing. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. My condolences to Emma and all the family. May he Rest in Peace.
Deepest sympathy on the passing of Ray. Was priveleged to have worked with Ray and Platform during the heyday of the Wexford Inn. RIP.
My sincere condolences to Ray's loving family.

My heart heavy today with the sadness of the news - but also with the weight of memories of this man.

I have Ray included in my 'Top 20 people you were lucky enough to meet in your lifetime' list ...
Ray had a great career in Aer Lingus, and I worked with him at HOB from 74 onwards. When i made my DJ debut for the ALT Rugby Club in 78, Ray took me under his wing - he invented a DJ name for me, and he drew me a promo 'DJ Poster' ... i still have it at home - a work of art ...
Drawn by Ray Kennedy - it's definitely worth money – priceless of course.
Ray was a fantastic artist/designer/sketcher. He also designed my engagement invites [in the shape/style+sleeve of a 7" vinyl single], and he sang at my wedding with the great Platform lads.

We also spent many years together performing with a huge merry band of Aer Lingus Variety Group heads, in Tops Of The Town ... fantastic days indeed. What a performer - he loved singing, playing and entertaining ... a natural comedian too - his Cinders sketch had to be seen to be believed ...

What a man ... a Top 20 man.
A beautiful person.
Please accept our deepest condolences to the family. From all at TAB.

So sorry to hear of Ray's passing. A lovely man who was very kind to me when I did a couple of week's summer work in Head Office way back in the eighties and of course an integral part of the mad group that made up the publicity office gang for many years. I still have a cassette of his songs somewhere and some of his cartoons from my dad's possesions, I hope they'll be having a great get-together up there, rest in peace Ray, condolences to all the family who I'm sure will miss him greatly x
Very sorry to hear of Ray,s passing. He was a lovely gentleman. Our condolences to his family.
Ray....an amazing talent....singer, performer, cartoonist, athlete, commentator, and above all a true gentleman and covie. Only months ago we spoke about you guesting on stage at Westport Town Hall and exhibiting some of your artwork - I'm sure there'll be some laughs in the heavens as you perform Cinderella!

Always enjoyed meeting you in your hometown - loved having do so many shows over the years - always full houses. You'll be missed- Rest in Peace Ray.
