To the family of Mr Roche. It was with sadness I heard of Raymond's death. You are in my thoughts at this sad time. He served his country with honour. Pleasure to have known him. May he rest in peace.

I am thinking of Carmel and Ray's children and grandchildren at this very sad time. He was a lovely man. He loved the Army but above all he loved his children. He was very proud of them.

Our heartfelt sympathy to all Ray’s family, especially to the 4 children whom we know since they were born. Ray was our trusted friend for more than 60 years, Margaret also. He looked after Margaret and his children in a caring and well-directed manner. He came from a great Wexford family, lived a long and worthy life and served his country with courage and distinction. Although it is about 10 years since we last met him, the bond that bound us to him & Margaret is everlasting. We grieve with you and for you. R I P.
