Heartfelt condolences to Margaret and all the Ruane family. Ray was a great friend whom I first met when he performed regimental duties in Dun ui Mhaoiliosa. When I was later posted to 25 Inf Bn FCA, we had some great days ( and nights) on training week ends and annual training camps. Ray was very committed, full of ideas, enthusiasm and kindness. An absolute gentleman. May he rest in peace.
