I had the pleasure of working with Ray for almost 20 years. He was a wonderful colleague and a supportive manager.
We were all devastated when Ray received his diagnosis but we were so proud of how hard he fought to recover.
May his memory be a comfort and blessing to you all.

Life can sometimes look like a mountain impossible to climb with all of its ups and downs and many challenges and I would think Ray felt that on many occasions. However, Ray possessed an innate quality of courage and resilience especially when he had to face adversity and the many challenges over the past few years during his illness and it was during these toughest of times that his true strength of character and will to live fought the hardest, encouraged by the love and support of Margaret and Lorcan. He fought the good fight, always with a smile, and never giving up, until the Angels came to bring him home to his eternal rest. I hope you’re at peace now Ray. Codladh sámh.

Sincere condolences to you Lorcan and extended families on the very sad passing of the loveliest gentleman. He helped me so much when I got diagnosed. His knowledge, advice and his ability to always put my mind at ease was amazing, I will never forget him. Ray had a calm voice every time I spoke with him. There’s not enough words paper or ink to say all the fantastic qualities Ray had. The world needs more Rag Bergins.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Ray’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

I had the privilege of knowing Ray through National School, the CBS, the Scouts, and later working alongside him in Kilroy’s. He was always kind, considerate, and carried a great sense of humour that made him a pleasure to be around. Ray had a warmth and decency about him that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

May his gentle soul rest in peace, and may you find comfort in the love and memories you shared.

My heartfelt condolences to Margaret, Lorcan, Mary and all of Ray's family at this sad time. Ray and I were fellow students in the 1980's in University College, Galway. Ray was a great student and we had many highbrow discussions back then about economics, accounting and other serious topics. He was also a gentleman and a friend and I will remember him as a kind and thoughtful person. Ray was always a good friend to many and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
